As some of you know, the American Red Cross will be holding its first annual Jeanie Barkley Memorial Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registry on Friday, June 20th from 12:00 ? 6:00 in the Alvirne High School gymnasium. Donation is easy?if you are healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds and haven?t given blood in the past eight weeks ? you can donate. With the start of summer, there is an urgent need for blood. We are hoping to collect 150 units of blood and add as many names to the New England Bone Marrow Registry. Pizza and light refreshments will be served in the canteen. In addition, all blood donors will receive a green Red Sox shirt.Just a little bit of time out of your hectic schedule can help give the gift of life. The need is constant. Message-ID: <482F60A6.1010209@ahsmusic.org> Hi Everyone, We are in need of Raffle items for the Chili Fiesta. These same raffle items will be presented at the concert next week in an effort to jump-start the fundraising for the Chili fiesta. Dianne McDonald is doing a great job coordinating the raffle, securing a raffle permit and getting things organized. We need to help pitch in with raffle items. Please work with your resources to help generate raffle items. We need gift certificates. Hotel nights, restaurants, hair salons, carpet cleaning, autobody work, car detailing, flowers, legal work, advertising, you name it. We can use in-kind items like toys, tools, furniture, new or used cars, riding lawn mowers, electronics, again, no limit. The goal is to create an overwhelming desire for someone to buy raffle tickets. Remember, donations are fully tax deductible as Alvirne Friends of Music is a 501(c)(3) organization. Worth noting to all that you talk with re: donations. I have attached a Donations letter for you to use while requesting donations. Any questions, please call me or Dianne McDonald.
