BLOOD DONORS ARE NEEDED!

As some of you know, the American Red Cross will be holding its first annual Jeanie Barkley Memorial Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registry on Friday, June 20th from 12:00 – 6:00 in the Alvirne High School gymnasium. Donation is easy…if you are healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds and haven’t given blood in the past eight weeks – you can donate.  With the start of summer, there is an urgent need for blood.  We are hoping to collect 150 units of blood and add as many names to the New England Bone Marrow Registry. Pizza and light refreshments will be served in the canteen.  In addition, all blood donors will receive a green Red Sox shirt.Just a little bit of time out of your hectic schedule can help give the gift of life.  The need is constant.  The gratification is instant.  Become a regular blood donor.
